LDCC are delighted to support Dementia First, a local charity, which will be running a day care facility from the Jennnings Hall, every Monday starting on 25th March.

Dementia First is an independent charity providing day care services in East Surrey solely for people with a diagnosis of dementia.  They also provide an information and support service for carers and family members. 

Dementia First already have a presence at the Community Centre through Musical Memories, a fortnightly singing session run in partnership with the Good Care Group, which has proved very popular.  Following the success of Musical Memories, they have recognised the need to extend their support to providing a full day care facility.

The sessions will take place every Monday from 10am to 4pm and offer physical and mental stimulation supported by staff specifically trained in dementia.  A hot lunch and refreshments will be provided all from the comfortable and safe surroundings of the Jennings Hall.
