Ian Jones – Chairman
Ian is a retired civil servant with his final position being Director – Office of Manpower Economics. Involved in several local organisations, Ian is Chairman to the RH7 History Group, Chairman of Pennies from Heaven Distribution Limited and was elected Chairman of LDCC in June 2015. A Lingfield resident since 1991, Ian is married to Vivien, a Lingfield Parish councillor and they have two sons who have both been educated locally.
Alison Skinner MBA, FCCA– Finance Director
Alison has lived in the village with her family since school days. She is retired from a long and interesting career in the NHS, including roles as Finance Director in both Primary Care Trusts and Clinical Commissioning Groups. She currently has a small Management Consultancy and has a wide range of other interests including the theatre, travel and have worked as a volunteer teacher. She is also an Independent Visitor for Looked after Children for Surrey Social Services and a Mentor with Surrey Care Trust. Alison is pleased to be a Director at LDCC as she feels it is important ‘to give something back’ through voluntary roles.
Sara Watson – Director
Sara has lived in the area for 34 years. She joined the Community Centre board in 2015 following the merger with Lingfield Day Centre. Sara helps co-ordinate the highly successful Meals on Wheels service which provides freshly cooked meals to the elderly residents of Lingfield, Dormansland and Crowhurst.
Christine Tebbutt – Director
Christine has a long background in Human Resources within multi-nationals and her own consultancy which she successfully ran until 2016. She is now retired and thoroughly enjoying life in Lingfield. Having moved here in 2015, she has been actively involved with the LDCC through volunteering as a cook for Meals on Wheels, working as a volunteer in the Volunteer Centre, and as a befriender to people in the local community.
Graham Tebbutt – Director
Graham worked in IT as a systems analyst for many years before working for several years as a minicab driver in South London. Married to fellow director Christine they moved to Lingfield in 2015 after they both retired. He has been active in LDCC for several years, providing computer training, providing system support for the Volunteer Centre and delivering for Meals on Wheels. Graham also actively supports local charities by providing computer system support where possible.
Lisa Carey – Director
Lisa works as an EFL teacher delivering English lessons to Chinese students on Zoom. She is also the owner of Doodledish, a pottery painting business which, since closure of her Lingfield studio, now runs as a home delivery service. She has lived in the village for 7 years and enjoys an active role in the community including bell ringing (albeit badly), volunteering for Meals on Wheels and being taken for lots of local walks by her dog, Finn.
