We are pleased be able to resume our community cinema, Flix in the Stix this coming Sunday 13th February with the romantic drama Ammonite, starring Kate Winslett.

The story is set in 1840s England and follows the once acclaimed fossil hunter Mary Anning (Kate Winslet). Her glory days behind her, Mary works alone on the rugged Southern coastline searching for common fossils to sell to tourists to support herself and her ailing mother.

When a wealthy visitor asks Mary to care for his wife Charlotte (Saoirse Ronan), she cannot afford to turn the offer down. Mary and Charlotte initially clash, but despite the distance between their social class and personalities, an intense bond begins to develop. They must now face up to determining the true nature of their relationship.

Tickets £5 from the centre office or on the door. Doors open at 3pm for tea, coffee & home made cake with the film starting at 3pm.
