Preparations are now well underway for this popular annual exhibition which moves from its usual summer slot to the Autumn for the 2016 exhibition. The organisers hope that moving the event to October will improve access to visitors and exhibiting artists by avoiding the busy summer holiday season which often takes people away from the village.
Lingfield Art first opened its doors in 1977 and over the years has grown into one of the largest art exhibitions in Surrey. The event, held at Lingfield and Dormansland Community Centre, attracts more than 1000 artists and visitors each year who come to view an outstanding selection of paintings, sculpture and ceramics.
The exhibition runs from Monday 24th to Sunday 31st October. Entry is free and there will be a café serving tea, coffee and homemade cakes to sustain you as you peruse the exhibits.
Exhibitors can submit their entries now with application forms available from the Community Centre or on the Lingfield Art website www.lingfieldart.org. The closing date for entries is 22nd September.
The exhibition team and artists look forward to welcoming you to this year’s event and would like to thank all the visitors, volunteers and sponsors for their continued support.
