Neighbourhood & Home Watch is a voluntary network of schemes where neighbours come together, along with the police and local partners, to build safe and friendly communities.

RCSAS

RAPE & SEXUAL ABUSE SUPPORT CENTRE (RCSAS)

RCSAS is an independent and confidential service for women and girls aged 13+ who have survived any kind of sexual violence at any time of their lives.

RSCAS provides support, information and links to specialist counselling and advocacy.  Meetings in Lingfield can be arranged.

Set in nine acres of beautiful private grounds in Dormansland, the College offers accommodation to retired Anglican clergy, their spouses and widows, retired licensed lay people and practicing communicants.  The College has self-contained sheltered flats and residential and full nursing care in the Nursing Wing.

LINGFIELD COMMUNITY LIBRARY

Lingfield Community Library is located next to St Peter and St Paul church, near the junction of Vicarage Road and Saxby’s Lane.   Since June 2016, the library has been run by local volunteers in conjunction with Surrey County Council.

Hayward-memorial-local-history

HAYWARD MEMORIAL LOCAL HISTORY CENTRE

The Hayward Memorial Local History Collection is housed in the Public Library, Lingfield. This valuable research resource includes microfilm copies of local parish registers, census records and directories together with a collection of maps, photographs which can be accessed during library opening hours. Further assistance is available when a steward is in attendance, 10.00am – 12.30pm first Saturday or 2.30pm – 4.30pm third Thursday of each month.

LINGFIELD NATURE RESERVE

 The reserve has approximately 10.6 hectares (26 acres) available to visit free. Various leaflets are available giving maps showing the layout of the Nature Reserves, access points, the location of the Butterfly and Quiet Gardens, the Community Orchard, the Millennium pond and the larger open meadows.

Nature Reserve Working Parties
These are usually held on the last Sunday of the month unless changed to avoid clashes with public holidays or other events.

Meet us in the Butterfly Garden for monthly work parties between 10 am – 12 noon.

More volunteers urgently needed. Free Fairtrade refreshments for volunteers.

Affiliated to The Royal Horticultural Society and The National Dahlia Society

The society meets once a month with regular talks on a variety of subjects, and we hold shows throughout the year.  Members have all kinds of gardening knowledge and experience – from beginners to experts.

Guests are always made very welcome.  Come along to the Jennings Hall at Lingfield & Dormansland Community Centre and hear a guest speaker, chat to fellow gardening enthusiasts over a cup of tea or coffee – and join in the fun with the ever popular raffle!
