The staff, volunteers and customers of Lingfield & Dormansland Community Centre raised over £220 for Macmillan Cancer Care at their World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event last Friday.

The tables were strewn with delicious cakes, scones and gateaux and local people donated generously to this good cause.  The lucky winner of the ‘Guess the Height of the Cake’ competition was Richard Holroyd who was closest to the correct answer of 94cm.  Fortunatley we had a tape measure on hand to assist those of us who still measure things in feet and inches!

Thank you to everyone who came along, baked cakes to sell or serve and those who helped on the day.  A great result for a great cause.
