Congratulations go to Lingfield & Dormansland Meals on Wheels which has again been awarded a 5 star rating by the Food Standards Agency.  In a recent inspection,  the team – made up entirely of volunteers – received praise for their organisation, hygeine and standards of cleanliness.

Sara Watson, Chair of the Meals on Wheels Committee, said “We are delighted with this result.  It is extremely important that we serve food that is safe to eat and we work very hard to maintain the high standards required by the FSA.   This result is testament to the hard work and dedication of all the volunteers who make this service so special”.

Meals on Wheels provide a freshly cooked, 2 course meal Monday to Thursday with a fish and chip delivery service on Fridays.  The service is available to anyone who is unable to cook for themselves on a long or short term basis.  For further information call 07504 481289.
