A varied programme of entertainment is planned for the next few months at Lingfield & Dormansland Community Centre so here are some dates for your diary.
The final film in this Flix in the Stix season is Sully, the true story of Chesley Sullenberger, an American pilot who became a hero after landing his damaged plane on the Hudson River in order to save the flight’s passengers and crew. This film was the people’s choice, chosen by our April audience, and wraps up another successful season of Flix on Sunday 11th June. Watch out for news of the 2017/18 season which starts on 10th September.
On 18th June you are invited to Our June’s Wedding, a poignant but humorous play for all the family which starts in the parish church before moving to the Community Centre where the drama continues to unfold.
Following another successful gala evening in January, Opera Holloway will be presenting a specially adapted version of Cosi fan tutte here on Sunday, 3rd September. Sponsored by Alex Jones Funeral Directors, this ambitious project is a first for LDCC and brings the full opera experience to your local village centre.
And finally, Pitchy Breath Theatre bring you their modern day adaption of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar on Saturday 18th November. This fast paced, modern dress, gender blind adaptation brings this historical play firmly up to date, whilst still retaining the glorious language of our greatest writer.
